Resume

Balance experiments for establishing of the digestibility of the amino acids of barley with Japanese quails have been conducted. Two methods were used – fecal and indicator. The average true digestibility of the amino acids, using  the fecal methods, were 76.37 and for essential amino acids – 77.98. The highest true digestibility shows proline – 85.2 and the lowest – lysine – 70.46. The average true digestibility of the amino acids, using the indicator methods, were 75.7 and for essential amino acids – 78.3. The highest true digestibility shows leucine – 84.87 and the lowest – metionine – 61.37. Significant were the differences between the both of the methods by arginine and metionine.
