Balance experiments for establishing of the true digestibility of the amino acids of barley with Japanese quails have been conducted. Two methods were used - fecal and indicator. The average true digestibility of the amino acids, using the fecal methods, were 76,37, and for the essential amino acids - 77,98. The highest true digestibility shows proline - 85,2, and the lowest - lysine - 70,46. The average true digestibility of the amino acids, using the indicator methods were 75,7 and for the essential amino acids - 78,3. The highest true digestibility shows leneme - 84,87 and the lowest- mehonme - 61,37. Significant were the differences between the both of the methods by arginme and metionme. [BG].
