Latency period, infection frequency and sporulation were assessed on three common wheat cultivars and M. Amber (a susceptible control) at seedling at seedling stage using three P. recondita f. sp. tritici isolates. Significant genotype differences for all components were observed. The level of partial resistance was different according to the different cultivars and was expressed at seedling stage. The variation and association between the components of partial resistance were significant and of a different kind. This led to the suggestion that different components may be affected by different genes. [BG].
