A hygienic assessment of the mycotoxicological status of foodstuffs from the district of Plovdiv during 2004 was made. The total number of the investigated samples was 1279. 74% of them were included in the current hygienic control with 2,75% non-standard samples. The foodstuffs with a departure from the norm were the cereals, baby foods, pastry et al. Conclusions about the prevention of mycotoxicological contamination of the food products were made.
