The aim of this study was to determine the influence of the seedling substrate used in container grown seedlings on the economic results of the late field tomato production. Variants with additives of different components to the standard peat-pearlite substrate and peat-pearlite substrate with absorbent, were tested.
The economic analysis showed that the late field production of tomatoes was most profitable when the seedlings were grown in containers with 66 cells, loaded with peat-pearlite substrate with the addition of an absorbent and the fertilizers Lumbrikal and Boneprot. The profit and the rate of profitability of the production of the latter two variants proved to be the highest.
