19. Commemorative oykonims in Central South Bulgaria in memory of Bulgarian khans, princes, tsars and members of their families

The article treats 53 local names in Central South Bulgaria, given in honor and in memory of the Bulgarian khans, princes, tsars and their families. Six of the names are in honor of Tsar Boris III and 4 in memory of Tsar Kaloyan, Khan Krum and Tsar Simeon І. Brief biographical details are published for each of the patrons. The oikonyms are classified according to: the period of notification and cancellation of the names, duration of the existence of the commemorative name, whether they are assumed before the patron’s death or posthumously, the reasons for the notification or cancellation.
