Resume
Rainfall is of great significance for the development of agricultural crops. It defines the water consumption of the plants and is the main source for the accumulation of soil moisture. According to that fact the conditions for the moisturising of the soil are defined by periods: winter (October–November), spring (April–May) and summer (June–August).
The current research examines the main characteristics of the long-term fluctuation of waterfall sums during the active vegetation period, defined by the steady detention of the air temperature through 5°C, 10°C and 15°C in spring and autumn time in the region of Plovdiv during the first decade of the 21st century.
