36. Green infrastructure of the rural areas in the South Central Region

Green infrastructure helps to connect the existing natural areas as well as to improve the overall environmental quality of the rural areas as a whole.
The best way to build and maintain the green infrastructure is an integrated approach to land management, combined with careful and strategic spatial planning and engaging the participation of all land users.
The aim of the study is to analyze and outline the prospects for the development of the green infrastructure in the rural areas of the South Central Region within the context of the EU policy in the field of biodiversity beyond 2010.
