The article traces changes in the administrative affiliation, number and status of the settlements in Bulgaria for the period 01.01.2011 – 31.03.2014. During the period two new cities were announced – Ignatievo, in the district of Varna and Kran, Stara Zagora district. By the closing day there are 257 cities, 5008 villages and in total 5265 settlements as well as 157 settlement formations of local importance in Bulgaria.
