15. The European Green Pact and the wine tourism prospects in Bulgaria

This scientific article aims to analyze the opportunities for sustainable development of wine tourism in the context of the European Green Pact. The Green Deal and the goals it sets for the countries of the community are discussed. An analysis of the wine production in Bulgaria and the European Union (EU) has been made. A definition of sustainable tourism according to the leading ecological norms has been derived. The goals set are related to the new conditions that wine tourism will face. The expectations from the implementation of the European Green Pact are discussed. Emphasis is placed on the relationship between wine producers and wine tourism. Examples of sustainable wine tourism in a modern, efficient and competitive economy are given. Based on the analysis, the conclusions are presented.
