Resume

The experiment have been carried out during the period 2005-2006. The tests have been carried out in steel-glasshouse at the educational and experimental field of HORTICULTURING Department at Agricultural University – Piovdiv.
Seven introduced varieties of tomatoes with Dutch origin have been studied: Mondial – control; Bura; Diadora; Arbason; Badro; E—28-31623 and Amaral. The sowing have been made in the end of November and the plant have been made in the beginning of February. The vegetative tops have been removed at the end of April (after setting and forming five racemes). The reproductive activities have been defined, also have been traced the early and total standard yields. Morphological characteristic of the fruits have been carried out: in mass fruitfulness stage and the following characteristics have been measured: weight of the fruit, chambers number, thickness of the pericarp, dry matter, hardness of the fruit.
Highly economic productivity have been measured for the following sorts: Arbason, Amaral, Bura with yields measured by the end of May respectively 8666kg, 7225kg and 7169kg/dka. High total yields have been measured for the same sorts (Bura and Amaral as well as Arbason) with values of 13875.24kg; 11580.40kg and 12009.28kg/dka.
All the sorts have been large—fruit with average weight of 180-280g.
