Resume

The Agricultural University – Plovdiv was the first university in Bulgaria that started training students in Agricultural Tourism. Based on the experience gained, mistakes made and continuous updating of curricula and methods of teaching, it has become possible to do such a research.
In this connection the main purpose of this presentation is to bring out the teaching methods in one of the basic disciplines in the specialty – Agricultural Tourism and on the basis of the questionnaire survey conducted among several different courses of students, to bring out the main issues concerning the methods of teaching and to provide possible solutions.
At the present stage an important condition for a quality training is the active participation of students in the processes performed. This is a way for stimulating their creativity and outside-the-box thinking. They also should be active participants in the processes of updating the curricular plans and programs.
An important element of the training is the student’s evaluation of teaching methods and teacher’s attitude. It should be considered as a corrective action to it and one of the elements of attesting.
