Resume

In the new EU‟s GAP programming period, significant attention is paid to products produced in compliance with all regulatory requirements for the production and processing of bio-products. In Bulgaria this type of production increases its number and relative importance for the development of its respective sub-sectors of Bulgarian agriculture.
The main purpose of this study is to analyze local markets for processed bio-products to assess the value added value chain in these specific industries.
To achieve its goal, the development will go through the following stages:
– Analysis of the dynamics in the development of Bulgarian organic production;
– Analysis of chains adding value to the processing of organic products in the country;
– Analysis of local consumption and processing of bio-products.
This study will assess the correlation between local production, processing and consumption of bio-products using centralized information sources.
