9. Legal regulations concerning the criteria for the eligibility of agricultural areas in the Republic of Bulgaria

Resume

The criteria for classifying agricultural areas are specified in the norm of Article 2, paragraph 1 of Ordinance No. 2 of 17.02.2015 on the eligibility criteria for agricultural areas for support under area payment schemes and measures in force from 24.02.2015, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, published in the Official Gazette 15 of 24 February 2015. According to the norm of Article 1, paragraph 2 of Ordinance No 2 of 17.02.2015, the eligibility criteria and eligibility conditions for the support of the agricultural areas are applied to area payment schemes and measures, divided into nine areas, among which are:

– schemes for direct payments under Article 38, and, paragraph 1 of the Farmers Support Act, which was reflected in the introductory notes of the material, seven in number;

– the transitional national aid schemes referred to in Article 38 (a) and (2) of the Law on Support to Agricultural Producers, which have been notified for the calendar year concerned under the conditions and by the order of Article 37 of Regulation (EC) No 1307/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17.12.2013. establishing rules for direct payments to farmers under support schemes under the common agricultural policy of the European Union;
