Resume

A field experiment in nitrogen fertilization of radish variety Edri cherveni was conducted in the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute, Plovdiv for two years on strongly leaches meadow- cinnamonic soil. The following nitrogen fertilizers are used: ammonium sulphate, ammonium nitrate, carbamide, potassium nitrate, calcium nitrate and sodium nitrate. The experiment was conducted with rates: 0 (control), 30 kg, 60kg. 90 kg and 120 kg/ha.
It was established that the fertilization rate increase results in enhancement of root nitrate content after fertilization with carbamide, ammonium sulphate and sodium nitrate that is stronger expressed in autumn production. The fertilization with sodium nitrate inhibits the radish growth, the yield is low with and the produce quality is getting worse.
