Study was carried out to determine decomposition dynamics and residual levels of chlorpyriphos-methyl in apples and pears. The insecticide was found to have low resistance to the environmental factors and its contents therefore rapidly declined in treated crops. All analyses showed the residual insecticide quantities in all fruit species at harvest to be below the sensitivity limit of the method, i.e. 0,02 mg/kg.
