Abstract
Climatic changes associated with droughts and a reduction in the volume of water resources lead to the complication of a vitally important problem for the agrarian sector – the problem of irrigation of agricultural lands. This problem, apart from being of strategic importance for Bulgarian agriculture, is related to the possibilities of the hydromelioration infrastructure.
Therefore, during the new program period 2023-2027. with the relevant interventions, support for the modernization of the hydromelioration infrastructure will continue. For this purpose, the possibilities of measure „4.3“ of the Rural Development Program – „Support for investments in infrastructure related to the development, modernization or adaptation of agriculture and forestry“ will be used.
