The purpose of this report is on the basis of the analysis of the existing farming systems in the semi-mountainous regions to evaluate the possibilities for their sustainable agricultural development.
The first stage of the study is connected with development of indicators for sustainability of farming systems evaluation. The estimation made in the second stage includes environmental, economic and social measures. The third stage is focused on possibilities for sustainable farming system development.
