Looped networks are widely used in urban water supply systems mainly because of their reliability. The low system price is the most important feature of the irrigation networks, so usually they are built as branched ones. For that reason there is no methodology for hydraulic sizing of looped irrigation networks in Bulgaria. However some special features of the drip irrigation systems can make the looped networks economically advantageous. The terms of use of such networks are analyzed and a practical example is presented in the article.
